Emma Buxton-Namisnyk
Emma Buxton-Namisnyk is the Senior Research Associate in the Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor Indigenous and the Indigenous Law Centre UNSW. Emma has worked as a human rights lawyer and criminologist, including on the Domestic Violence Death Review Team and the Family is Culture Review, and is in the final stages of her DPhil research as a Clarendon Scholar at the University of Oxford. Her research focusses on violence against First Nations women, with a focus on domestic and family violence, as well as state violence expressed through the criminal justice, political, regulatory and bureaucratic structures of the state (and supra-state).
