Yes campaigners call on undecided Aussies to choose love over spin

ULURU DIALOGUE CO-CHAIRS, Cobble Cobble woman Professor Megan Davis and Alyawarre woman Pat Anderson AO have embraced the YES Campaign’s underdog status in the Voice referendum, saying Australians have a history of backing underdogs and fair play over negativity and spin.
With one in four eligible Australians still undecided about how they will vote, Prof. Davis said the YES Campaign would continue to have conversations about how the Voice will deliver improved outcomes for First Nations Peoples and a positive pathway forward for all.
“We remain incredibly optimistic – as optimistic as our old people were in the conversations we had at and throughout the Regional Dialogues process,” Professor Davis said.
“There’s no doubt we’re the underdog in this campaign - but we've always been underestimated. And the NO Campaign continues to underestimate the Australian people, too.
“Australians know when they're being misled. They know the idea for the Voice comes from a place of love.
“We simply invite them to consider that NO is not neutral; it is an endorsement of the status quo, of no change, of accepting inequality.
“I think many Australians will recognise that we can do better if we accept this invitation from the Uluru Statement of the Heart to walk forward together.”
