All the very best for the Festive Season from the Uluru Dialogue’s Co-Chairs

What an enormous year. Needless to say, 2023 didn’t exactly play out the way we hoped it would. However, to merely dismiss the events and outcomes of the past 12 months as failure would be selling us and all of you, our supporters, well short.
The ‘No’ result at the 2023 Constitutional Referendum on a First Nations Voice to Parliament may have caused deep devastation across the entire Aboriginal and Torres Strait community, but the allies and supporters we, as the Uluru Dialogue leadership group, have come into contact with have provided our team with not only memories we’ll treasure forever, but also a solid national foundation upon which we can base our work into the future when it comes to the health and wellbeing for our First Nations people.
With the referendum result no doubt still stinging for many of you out there, please ensure you take the time to share the upcoming holidays with your loved ones, share your stories about your valuable campaign experiences and contributions. Share why you became involved in the Voice campaign in the first place and why it was so important to you.
Our work and efforts could never have had the impact they made without your support. Along with the 6.2 million Aussies who said ‘Yes’ at the referendum, we look forward to a 2024 with renewed hope for our people. We have turned ‘no’ into yes on this journey before, and we’ll no doubt do it again one day.
How can it be otherwise?
All the best to you and Yours.
