Delilah MacGillivray

Delilah MacGillivray, is a proud Kalkutungu and South Sea Islander born on Darumbal Country Rockhampton, Central Queensland.

Delilah’s professional career spans more than 35 years in the public, community and business sectors, across a diverse range of portfoliosas a Sergeant in the Australian Regular Army; seven years as a researcher for Aboriginal Hostels Limited four years in Centrelink leading the focus on Indigenous service delivery culminating in a National Statement of Reconciliation; and extensive Regional Director leadership and governance experiences as an executive in the Queensland Departments of Transport, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy, Community Services (including Contract Management), Sport and Recreation and Child Safety.

More recently Delilah held a General Manager role at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) based on Gadigal Country in Redfern Sydney.

Delilah is currently a UNSW Scientia PhD scholar.
