Professor Megan Davis, one of the architects of the Voice referendum that was rejected by voters on October 14, has vowed to “keep going” with a grassroots movement even though she believes “reconciliation is dead”.
In her first interview since the referendum, Professor Davis told The Australian Financial Review that “we can’t allow the status quo just to kick back in”.
“The history of our people has always been advocacy for voice, treaty and truth. I think we regroup and think about the way forward.”
