This week Professor Megan Davis returned to her Alma Mater to deliver The University of Queensland NAIDOC Week Keynote Lecture.
She spoke about her reflections on the referendum and the impact of the “no” vote on our jarjums.
The fact that an overwhelming majority of First Natjons people voted YES and that those who told the Australian people otherwise were wrong, wrong, wrong.
Prof Davis also spoke about the hope and strength we draw from the 6.2m Australians who voted YES as we continue the decades long conversation about constitutional recognition and our ongoing journey toward a better future for all ❤️💛🖤

This week our Uluru Youth Dialogue Co-Chairs, Allira Davis and Bridget Cama, attended the 17th session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Geneva, Switzerland.
Allira and Bridget participated in discussions regarding Indigenous issues with Indigenous peoples around the world and submitted an intervention discussing the ongoing support for a First Nations Voice and recommend EMRIP have a youth theme, based on UNDRIP.
Allira and Bridget stated on behalf of the Uluru Youth Dialogue “We do not intend on stopping the campaign for constitutional recognition. We are the youth. We are the future.”
